Data Deletion
This page explains how to request deletion of your onebooksgst account data, WhatsApp integration data, and related records.
Last updated: March 24, 2026
Before You Send The Request
Data deletion requests move faster when the request clearly identifies the account, organization, and connected workflow you want us to review. If you used onebooksgst for GST filing work, bank statement uploads, or WhatsApp messaging, mention that in the request so the team can verify the relevant records from the start.
The request should come from the registered email address wherever possible. If you no longer have access to that inbox, include enough account and organization detail for the support team to verify ownership before any deletion action is taken.
- The email address used to sign in or manage the organization
- The organization or business name tied to the account
- Whether GST workflows, bank statement uploads, or WhatsApp integration were used
- Any urgency or business reason that affects the timing of the request
How To Request Deletion
Send a deletion request to our support team from the email address linked to your account. If you are requesting deletion for an organization, include the organization name and the registered business email.
For faster processing, use the subject line "Delete My Data" and include the following details:
- Your registered email address
- Your organization name, if applicable
- The WhatsApp phone number or business account name, if connected
- A short confirmation that you want the account and associated data deleted
What We Delete
After we verify your request, we remove or disconnect the following data from our systems, where permitted by law:
- Your account profile and login access
- Organization settings linked to your account
- Stored WhatsApp integration details such as access tokens, WhatsApp Business Account ID, and phone number ID
- Campaign configuration data and message template drafts tied to your account
- Uploaded files and related operational data that are not required to be retained
If you have connected WhatsApp through Meta, we also disconnect that integration from our platform during the deletion process.
What We May Retain
Some records may need to be retained for legal, tax, accounting, or security reasons. This can include GST records, invoice and payment history, audit logs, dispute records, and other information required by applicable Indian law.
We keep only the minimum data necessary for those purposes and do not use retained records for new product activity after your deletion request is completed.
What Happens After You Contact Us
After we receive the request, the support team reviews the account details, checks whether any legal, tax, accounting, security, or payment records must be retained, and confirms the scope of deletion before action is taken. If the request is incomplete, we may ask for clarification before processing it.
Once the review is complete, we delete or disconnect the removable data covered by the request and confirm completion through the contact details you provided. If some records must be retained under applicable law or security requirements, we limit retention to the minimum necessary information and do not use those retained records for new product activity.
